Description
Beautiful Bendor Art Nouveau Solifore Vase circa 1970. 9″ (22.86 cm) high. No damage.
Bendor glass founded by Paul Ricard on the island of Bendor in the late 1950’s. Here elegant pieces were created for collectors from all over the world, including the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. There are styles as varied as the classic Spanish tableware (many blowers arrived from Spain) and the acid-engraved cameo decorations, often mistaken for those of the brilliant pioneer of Art Nouveau, Emile Gallé.
