Albert Rousseau, Quebec painter born in Saint-Etienne de Lauzon. He began his studies at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Quebec City around 1925. He then began his career as a painter and was recognized for his landscapes of Charlevoix, still lifes and nudes. Albert Rousseau regularly went to paint with his painters Marc-Aurèle Fortin and René Richard.
In the 1970s, Albert Rousseau acquired the Moulin de la Seigneurie de Lauzon and converted it into a meeting place and exhibition for artists of the time. The Moulin des Arts quickly became a cultural center in Quebec.
The painter Albert Rousseau died in 1982 in his hometown of Saint-Etienne-de-Lauzon.
